The targets set by the European Green Deal – reduction of emissions due to transport by 90% by 2050, and by the 2030 Climate Target Plan – reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030, represent a major challenge for local authorities.

MemEx is supporting Local Administrations in the drafting of sectoral plans, with a focus on the development of Sustainable Urban Logistics Plans (SULP) and the Electric Mobility Plan (EMP).

To mention some examples, MemEx delivered the Urban Logistics Plan for the Municipality of Prato, and is currently working on urban logistics and access control issues in the city of L’Aquila. These plans are aiming to the optimization of the logistics chain and the last-mile in urban areas, with direct consequences on the decrease of energy consumption and environmental impacts. Moreover, MemEx is supporting the Municipalities of Lucca and Livorno by delivering the Electric Mobility Plan, with the purpose of facilitating the process of sustainable mobility transition and decarbonisation of the transport sector.
