Andrea Lorenzini joined the Rural Pact Conference “From vision to action: Empowering rural areas for the future” in Pecq (Belgium) on the 16th and 17th September, representing the Rural Mobility Group of the Rural Pact Community.
The event brought together over 250 representatives of civil society organisations, policymakers and public authorities, LEADER Local Action Groups (LAGs), academics and researchers, businesses and citizens keen on actively sharing experiences, boosting collaboration, and co-creating ideas for stronger and more resilient rural areas. Andrea was invited to join the discussion on “Ensuring the ‘right to stay’ in rural areas: addressing demographic challenges through place-based approaches and access to service” and specifically animated a group discussion on how to improve mobility in rural areas. His input was particularly valued to assess the current policies on rural development and the need to increase accessibility in rural areas
