The European Commission has selected the LIFE ASPIRE project among more than 850 proposal in the framework of the European programme LIFE Plus. The project, elaborated by the Municipality of Lucca (IT) in strict collaboration with MemEx and the research organisation Lucense in Lucca, will start on the 01st October for a total of 36 months. LIFE ASPIRE focuses on the theme of the sustainability of the goods transport in small-medium sized urban historical centres. The project will develop an innovative system for the intelligent monitoring of the goods transport and the goods load/unload and will also realise a cargo-bike sharing service for the goods transport in the areas of the historical centre.

The technological solutions will be implemented in collaboration with the technological partner Kiunsys and with other two cities partners of the project, Stockholm in Sweden and Zadar in Croatia
