The MOTIVATE project, co-funded by the European Programme INTERREG MEDITERRANEAN, held its first interregional meeting on the 31st January and 01st February in Almada (PT) with the presence of 9 partners from 5 different EU countries. The project aims to promote a new model of SUMP (sustainable urban mobility plans) development based on the exploitation of social media and crowd-sourcing application.

As expert in sustainable urban mobility planning and evaluation, MemEx will validate the pilot tools adopted by partners, monitor and assess pilots implementation and consolidate project evaluation results, by also identifying some common guidelines on the use of social networks/crowdsourcing techniques for SUMP development/enhancement
