Giorgio Ambrosino was invited to the 20^th  European Conference on Mobility Management (ECOMM) held in Athens on 1-3 June 2016.

Giorgio gave a speaking on what means “smartmobility”  in practice specially regarding the situation of  small and medium size towns presenting a clear different situation with respect to large urban areas. In particular the role of ITS was presented and critically analysed from the backstage side (organization, operation and overall costs”). The presentation showed and analysed the real approach developed by two Italian SM towns Arezzo and Treviso. Moreover some indications on how these towns  are going to implement  the concept of MaaS (mobility a as Service) that is emerging in Europe specially for the  metropolitan areas.

The presentation was given inside the session “Mobility management interventions: how effective can they be?” .
